The Dark Arts are a fascinating and yet incredibly dangerous branch of magic. It is no secret that the vast majority of souls that embark upon the exploration and use of the dark arts turn to wicked abuses of magic and the exploitation of others. Tragedies caused through the use of dark magic are to be treated with the utmost seriousness and are prime examples of the terrible things that can result from studying the dark arts.
However, some argue that an understanding of the dark arts are necessary in order to understand the inner workings and true limitations of magical power. Others are convinced that only in fully knowing what dark witches and wizards are capable of will we truly be able to defend ourselves against them. I hope that most of you will consider joining this class for these theoretical or defensive purposes.

About Your Teacher |
Hello, students, and welcome to The Dark Arts.
I'm Ivelisse Ada, and I'll be your student teacher for this class. I'm a fifth-year Hufflepuff who spends her spare time writing for multiple house newspapers and playing for HQT. I chose to teach The Dark Arts because I think a complete understanding of magic can only come from a complete education - which is to say, knowledge of The Dark Arts is just as important as knowledge of Herbology, Charms, Potions, etc. I'm looking forward to a great term with all of you! |
